RESTAURANTS

  1. Le Gentil (3 minutes walk)
    Website, Map
French restaurant very close to the apartment. Sonia knows the owners and can make special arrangements upon request.
  2. La Fontaine de Mars (4 minutes walk)
    Website, Map
One of the oldest French bistrots in Paris (Obamas dined here when they visited). Quite popular so booking in advance is recommended. Please let us know if you would like us to help make a reservation.
  3. Le Petit Cler (5 minutes walk)
    Website, Map
Casual French brasserie from the same group as Fontaine de Mars (above) on Rue Cler, the market street.
  4. Cafe de l’Alma (7 minutes walk)
    Website, Map
French brasserie near the Eiffel tower.
  5. Cafe Marly at Louvre museum
    Website, Map
If you’re visiting the Louvre area, it’s pleasant to sit outside here especially in spring and summer. There are also many green areas/gardens around Louvre, which could be nice for kids.

On Children’s Menu:
In Paris, many restaurants do not seem to have a separate kids menu (menu enfants), but many will make arrangements upon request. You could check with them in advance to be safe, but places we listed are in general, good restaurants that are flexible/accommodating and English speaking to some extent. Please feel free to make further requests to us.
